The scientific and methodological conference "Analysis and quality control"

The scientific and methodological conference "Analysis and quality control" went off on 27 to 31 October 2008 on the basis of holiday house «Pokrovskoe» in Odintsovo district. Representatives of Regional veterinary laboratories and reference centers visited the conference as the audience, centrally invited by Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance.

The first day of the conference was dedicated to the latest scientific developments in molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, microbiology. Leading specialists of R&D NARVAC made presentations on that day:
1.Verkhovsky Oleg A., Doctor of biological sciences, professor made two presentation:
– New developments in ELISA diagnosis and epizootological monitoring of infectious and invasive diseases of animals. – The strategy of application of marked vaccines.
2.Grebennikova Tatiana V., Doctor of biological sciences, Head of laboratory of Ivanovsky Virology Institute, RAMS. Tatianas report was entitled: Molecular diagnosis of infectious and invasive diseases of animals.
3.Zaberezhny Alexey D., Doctor of biological sciences, Head of laboratory of Ivanovsky Virology Institute, RAMS. He made a presentation: A new methodology for identifying pathogens: sequencing and microchips.

All speakers emphasized the high interest among specialists to their reports. It was also noted that the average age of participants and audience conference noticeably younger compared with previous years.

The second and third days of the conference were devoted to demonstrations of modern laboratory equipment. Centrifuges, equipment for high-speed chromatography, system of training and water purification, equipment for mass spectrometry, optical microscopy systems, etc were presented.
